The Unofficial Transformers Club and Convention Exclusive Data Pages

Non-BotCon Convention Exclusives

This page covers official Hasbro (or TakaraTomy, as appropriate)-sponsored toy-based Transformers exclusives connected to San Diego Comic-Con and other non-BotCon/OTFCC conventions. I'm sure that there are gaps, as I'm less familiar with some of these conventions.

For now, this page will also cover HasCon, despite HasCon effectively taking the place of BotCon starting in 2017, but I'll wait for HasCon to have more than a single year's worth of exclusives before giving HasCon its own page.

If you're looking for convention exclusives from BotCon 1994 to OTFCC 2004, click this link
If you're looking for BotCon exclusives from the Fun Publications era of the convention (2005-2016), click this link.
If you're looking for exclusives connected to Fun Publications' version of the Transformers Collectors' Club, click this link.

Although I have made an effort to be thorough, there are still a few places on each of the pages where information is less than solid, and I would greatly appreciate any information anyone is able to provide. Please send me an e-mail through my blog, Blackrock's Toybox.

Hyperlinks to sources are provided where possible, but many of my sources are simply not accessible online, and are thus referenced in notes. In many cases, there are various factors that should be taken into account with regard to how an exclusive should be assessed, and these are noted, as well. In an effort to keep this page comparatively simple and easy to navigate, I have placed notes within mouseover text that only becomes visible if you hover your cursor over the appropriate text. Places where such notes are available are marked with an asterisk (*).

Please note the following "ground rules":
  • This page only includes toy-related exclusives that, themselves, are representations of Transformers characters. Other items like busts, statues, plates, Nerf blasters, etc., are not included.
  • Toys that premiere at a convention, but which are always intended to be sold at other outlets, are similarly excluded. Thus, for example, HasCon 2017 Arcee is not on this list, as it was always intended for retail release with no changes afterward.
  • Two columns typically included with BotCon and club exclusives are not included on this page: "Number of exclusives produced" has been removed, because I have never been able to secure this information for SDCC exclusives, and the column on exclusives selling out by the end of the convention is gone, because typical practice for SDCC exclusives is to intentionally hold some back to sell online after the convention.

(Links in this page all valid as of March 24, 2015, unless otherwise noted)
